SILVERTON SKIN INSTITUTE RESEARCH PROGRAM
Dr. Kimball Silverton, the director of the Genesys Dermatology Residency program has been approved for the multiple research and investigational studies. The Silverton Skin Institute will now be conducting research studies on both existing and not-yet-approved medications for the treatment of some of the most common dermatological problems. The studies will involve treatments for such common diseases entities such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, as well as skin cancers. Dr. Silverton has been helping the people of Flint, Grand Blanc, & Fenton for over 12 years and counting. Dr. Silverton is a board certified dermatologist and a fellowship trained cosmetic surgeon.

The Study and Your Role
What is my role in the study?
Your role is to view participation in the study as a commitment. You will be asked to:
- Take your medication as ordered by the study doctor.
- Follow the instructions carefully-for example, take at bedtime, with meals,etc.
- Avoid taking any new medications unless your study doctor instructs you to.
- Call the Research Nurse whenever you start any new medication, this includes both prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Call the Research Nurse before you start taking any nutritional supplements or herbal remedies.
- Fill out medication diaries if your study provides one. If your have questions or need help, call your research nurse.
- Be on time for your scheduled appointment.
- Return all study medication (including empty containers) at each visit.
